Although Allied Modular focuses on working with commercial properties instead of residential, we can still appreciate quality- built, residential modular construction.  Gluck+ architectural firm has designed an amazing modular building in Manhattan, NY.

Similar to the modular construction we do at Allied, the “modules” for this apartment building are fabricated in- factory and then shipped to the building site.  From here they are carefully stacked with the use of a crane at a rate of about four units per day.  This building will be called the Stack and consist of seven stories and 56 total units.  Besides placing the units, work still needs to be completed on the interior and exterior of the building, but it is expected to be completed in October of 2013.  All in all, this building will take only 10 months from start to finish; traditional building methods would be at least 16 months.
