The news seems to be picking up on more great uses of modular construction, and we recently heard about a great modular project out of the Bronx.  Lehman’s College recently created a daycare out of 22 18- ton modules that was about 12,000 square feet.  This modular daycare was assembled between two existing buildings, thus a unique method of building was required.

Like many of the modular projects we do here at Allied Modular, the main components are built using streamlined methods of construction in an off-site factory.  Once completed, the finished components are carefully transported to the construction site.  Unlike other methods of construction, modular construction is far less intrusive and completed incredibly quickly.
